What is your wellness philosophy?
Most of the time we confuse wellness with good health, but it is more than just the absence of disease or illness. Wellness to me means living my happiest life with my loved ones and doing what I love the most. For me, wellness includes my emotional, spiritual, nutritional & social well-being.
Your success mantra?
They say he who has never tried anything has never failed. I was never afraid of failure, always believed in trying new challenges and had the courage to start all over again. Patience & persistence are valuable virtues. As Rome was not built in a day, nothing great comes without hard work and time dedication.
A lesson you learned from making a mistake?
When you start things on your own, you do not have anyone to make you understand, and guide, you learn from your mistakes. I have been learning every day, yes I made a lot of mistakes in the past and I still do, but I never repeat my mistakes. A lesson learnt is if you will not value your own self, no one else will.
Any piece of advice for all the women out there?
Be strong headed and true to yourself, don’t let anyone walk all over you. Live the life you want to live, not the life you think that you are expected to live. You are enough to look after yourself in all ways, physically, financially, mentally and spiritually. Evolve in ways where you don’t need to depend upon anyone else.
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
My biggest pride is my work. It's just a start and I have miles to go, but I am proud of what we have achieved so far.
