Celebrating the Doyenne: Pragya Agarwal

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Working as a Philanthropist and running a non-profit organisation called “Chakki Masala “ for unprivileged women, Pragya Agarwal decided to establish ORCO in 2017 with the vision to empower women. ORCO offers 100% natural, healthy and certified organic condiments and spices that are hand-ground, hand pounded, and hand cleaned by their woman workforce.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Mental and physical wellness is very important for you to thrive in other spheres of life. Work life balance is something I truly believe in. My mantra is to work out consistently, eat in proportion and take a break whenever you can. Relax and take care of yourself often.

Your success mantra?

To be disciplined and consistent is very important. One should never give up because they’re sulking or falling apart. Never ever stop dreaming and keep believing in what you do.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

That very mistake can be turned around and you can really learn a lot by making a mistake. It’s important to make mistakes as they teach you to be better next time.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

To all the women out there, live it up, be yourself, love yourself and do what your heart wants. And most importantly never give up on your dreams.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

MMy biggest pride is that I was able to give employment and financial security to those in need through my startup ORCO. We are an all women startup that empowers underprivileged women with every packet we sell, and I think that’s something to be proud of. We employ 100 women currently and wish to take the number much higher in the next year.
