Celebrating the Doyenne: Palak Shah

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Palak Shah is the founder of Bandra’s hotspot- Plush Cafe that aims to bring the quintessentially beautiful and flower laden cafe culture to Mumbai. She is also the author of Plum, Peach and Damson, a true-to-heart poetry compilation. A master of multiple trades, this young stalwar might be just starting out, but has definitely made her mark across industries–be it writing or running a cafe.

Aspire to inspire.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Let go of your ego and pride, and dirty your hands because success tastes sweeter when you’re self-made.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Financial independence is the new sexy.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

To have the creative freedom to execute Plush, to acquire an eating house license in a very short span, to open an eatery during the pandemic and still run into profitability.
