Divya Malpani is the Founder of Skinvest, an award-winning, dermatologist-formulated skincare brand that helps tackle the most prominent concerns of Indian skin. The brand sets revolutionary new standards by providing high quality, cruelty free, vegan, paraben and phthalate free skincare in India.

What is your wellness philosophy?

As a consistent routine that helps me be in the best of my health, I strongly believe in affirmations, which emphasize the importance of taking good care of skin. I also see self-love and gratitude to be at the core of your meaningful life journey.

I firmly believe that healthy skin is more important than perfect skin. While people see makeup as a natural instinct to strive for flawless skin, I am of the opinion that one must prioritize maintaining their health and well-being above all else. Making conscious choices about our lifestyle habits, taking care of skin is the ultimate act of self-love and appreciation.

Finally, resonating with Skinvest's emphasis on gender neutrality and mental health advocacy, I too acknowledge that mental wellness should be an essential part of undertaking their own wellness philosophies/beliefs.

Your success mantra?

We believe in equality and fraternity for all Indian skin kinds and problems, regardless of colour or skin type, and we work to create a place for everyone who wants to find a solution to their skin problems. We have faith that our substances will produce results in the products after three weeks of use. A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

I personally have learned to not be afraid of mistakes and failures. I instead embrace it but in a way that I understand where I have gone wrong, learn from my mistakes, adapt my approach and move forward stronger and wiser.

Another lesson I have learned is to always get 2nd, 3rd and 4th opinions from people who have more expertise than me on different topics, as this would have saved me a lot of time and reduced errors.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Prioritize skincare: Good skin is the foundation of any beauty routine. Female entrepreneurs in the makeup and wellness industry would suggest investing in a high-quality skincare routine that includes cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and using sunscreen daily to maintain healthy and glowing skin. Embrace your skin, pamper it and be happy living in it as it is your 1 permanent home. Show gratitude and you will get more from your skin. What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

The skincare industry is constantly evolving, and new products and techniques are being introduced all the time.

My biggest pride has been being able to help people achieve healthier and more radiant skin by recommending them the right skincare for their unique skin concerns and ski types. I take pride in staying up-to-date with the latest research and trends in the industry, and using my knowledge to develop effective skincare routines and new products for Skinvest’s customers.

I am passionate about educating others on the importance of taking care of their skin and how to do so effectively. I also take pride in seeing Skinvest’s customers make positive changes in their skin health and overall well-being as a result of our guidance and expertise.

Ultimately, my biggest pride is to see the satisfaction and happiness of our customers, who feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.
