“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.
An eyeful and adroit digital content creator, Aastha Shah has marked her presence in the world of social media owing to her valor, sagacity and a spectacular backdrop.
What is your wellness philosophy?
My wellness philosophy centres around self-care and taking time to focus on my own needs. In order to achieve a balanced and healthy lifestyle, I prioritize setting aside time to relax and recharge, away from the demands of work and daily life. Additionally, staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water is a key component of my wellness routine, as it helps to maintain optimal physical and mental function. By prioritizing self-care and hydration, I maintain a strong sense of well-being and tackle life's challenges with renewed energy and focus.
Your success mantra?
The mantra that has guided me through many of life's challenges is to "grow through what you go through." Rather than letting difficult experiences hold me back or bring me down, I try to approach them as opportunities for growth and learning. By reframing setbacks and struggles as opportunities to develop resilience and adaptability, I am able to overcome obstacles with greater ease and emerge stronger on the other side. This mindset has helped me to cultivate a sense of inner strength and resilience that serves me well in all aspects of life.
A lesson you learned from making a mistake?
No one is really yours except your family. The world is selfish and will remember you when they need you. Only your family will stand by you in your good and bad times. I have learnt not to take my family for granted and spend more time with them.
Any piece of advice for all the women out there?
My philosophy is centered on pursuing one's passions and embracing individuality. It's important to do what you love and to stay true to yourself, even in the face of societal pressure to conform. While it's natural to want to be accepted by others, it's essential to remember that our own needs and desires should always come first. By prioritizing our own happiness and well-being, we can lead fulfilling lives that are true to who we are. While it's true that some people may not accept us for who we are, it's important to stay true to our own values and beliefs. Ultimately, we are the ones who have to live with ourselves, and it's essential to make choices that align with our own sense of purpose and fulfilment.
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
My biggest source of pride is being open and honest with my audience about my skin condition, vitiligo, and using my experience to inspire others. Although my vitiligo has spread across much of my skin, it may not be immediately obvious to others. However, I believe that it's important to share my story and help others who may struggle with similar issues. By sharing my journey with vitiligo, I hope to inspire others to embrace their differences and find confidence in themselves. It takes courage to be vulnerable and share personal struggles, but I believe that by doing so, we can help break down barriers and promote greater acceptance and understanding. Overall, I hope that my story can serve as a source of inspiration for others and encourage them to find confidence in their own unique qualities and experiences.
