Keep your style statement updated with trends that are going to rule this year

The future of conscious fashion, in our opinion, will be less trend-driven and more focused on timeless style and innovation. More brands are expected to embrace sustainable methods, not only in terms of raw materials (recycled fabrics, ethically sourced, etc.) but also in terms of labour ethics in accordance with the highest industry standards.

Further, with the ongoing rise of social media, re-wearing, recycling, and upcycling are expected to become the norm, especially for younger generations growing up seeing their favourite bloggers style "1 shirt, 7 ways". Industry leaders will hopefully pave the way for a more sustainable future as more people become aware of who makes their clothes and how they are treated, and begin to demand transparency and hold companies to a higher standard.

Lavanya Aneja, Founder of Lea Clothing Co talks about one of the most significant changes seen in brands is becoming more size-inclusive, as we believe fashion is for everyone.

Some of the fashion trends are:

Bodycon dresses and corset tops are designed to complement winter trends. Layering your favourite flannel or sweater with a solid and sculpting corset, or styling your favourite Bodycon midi with a chic, wool long coat, these spring/summer staples can easily be transitioned to fit into (and create) fall/winter fits.

The best fabrics for Bodycon tops and dresses for winter would be stretch velvet, tweed, heavyweight satin, and faux leather to provide the perfect blend of warmth, comfort, and style.

Sweater and sweatshirt dresses with statement stockings, long boots, and long coats are another cute way to dress up your winter fits.

When styling sleeveless corsets or corset dresses for winter, always layer with shirts, bodysuits, sweaters, or flannels to ensure comfort. For corset dresses, warm stockings or long boots are always a must!

With long sleeve corset styles, you can experiment with faux fur gilets or puffer vests or even some statement, voluminous or embroidered bottoms which otherwise may be overbearing on a petite frame! Pair long sleeve corset tops with a midi faux leather skirt, woollen maxi skirt, or embroidered denim for a basic, yet impactful, look.

During summer, it is the perfect time to add some colour to your wardrobe, and this season, we can expect to see a lot of bright hues and bold prints. From neon shades to tropical patterns, these styles are sure to make a statement.

Vintage styles are making a comeback this summer. From high-waisted shorts and wide-legged pants to tailored blazers, these styles offer a fresh take on classic fashion.

If you want to go all out this year, you can try the bling trend. Co-ord sets and satin dresses with slits are other options that one could consider.

Virtual reality and online shopping are also expected to play a larger role in the fashion industry, as more and more consumers turn to e-commerce for their shopping needs. Brands and designers may begin to experiment with virtual try-ons and other digital experiences to enhance the online shopping experience.

So, following the implementation of the fast-fashion business model, large clothing manufacturers rely on conscious clothing to appeal to environmentally active consumers and regain their trust with organic apparel. Sustainability and ethical fashion are also becoming increasingly important in the fashion industry. Consumers are becoming more aware of the environmental and social impact of fast fashion and are looking for clothing that is made from sustainable materials and produced in a fair and ethical way.
