10 years of H&M in India with Fashion & Beauty

A star-studded evening in Mumbai celebrated 10 years of H&M in India, unveiling festive fashion and a first look at H&M Beauty.

It’s not every day that a high-street fashion brand completes a decade in a country as diverse as India. When H&M first opened its doors here in 2015, it promised “fashion for all”. Ten years later, that promise seems to have woven itself into India’s ever-evolving style landscape.

To celebrate this milestone, H&M transformed Mumbai’s Famous Studios into a playground of nostalgia, fashion, and performance. Walking the carpet were stars like Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Bhumi Pednekar, and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, each dressed in standout pieces from the brand’s new Festive 2025 Collection. Shimmer, bold cuts, and statement textures set the mood for the season ahead, while immersive installations traced H&M’s decade-long journey in India.

Perhaps the most intriguing reveal of the evening was a sneak peek at H&M Beauty, set to officially launch in India on October 2, 2025. While details remain under wraps, the preview suggested a direction where beauty is positioned not as an accessory to fashion but as an extension of self-expression — accessible, experimental, and bold.

It was also a night of cultural celebration and guests were treated to an exquisite lineup. Choreographer Usha Jey brought her fearless Bharatanatyam–hip hop fusion to the stage, Priya Ragu layered soulful R&B with infectious rhythm, and Raja Kumari closed the night with a set that fused Bollywood, rock, and hip hop in a blaze of energy. Adding to the sensory experience, the evening also featured a culinary journey designed around the theme of time and transition. Playful reflections, colours, and textures on the plate mirrored the fluidity of fashion and beauty on display.

If the night was any indication, H&M isn’t just looking back at its ten years in India — it’s using the moment to expand the conversation. With festive fashion and a new beauty venture, the brand is tapping into a generation that views style as layered, immersive, and ever-changing.
