26th September saw the amalgamation of the wellness industry at the prestigious Global Spa awards. The magazine hosted yet another edition of their signature event themed on sustainability, which reflected in the décor of the event.

Curated in association with Austria Tourism, St Regis Mumbai as the hospitality partner, MGC Global as the audit partners Living Liquids celebration partner and Episode Silver as their trophy partner, the evening was hosted by Mandira Bedi and the awards were attended by all prominent brands from spa & wellness industry from across the country where an interesting gamut of talent from across industry like films, television, and social media too attended.

Noted actors to rising stars to nutrition experts, chefs and social media influencers were seen enjoying the evening. More than 60 awards were given to prominent spas, wellness centres, exotic destinations, and spa professionals too.

Undisputed winners in each of their various categories included Ananda in the Himalayas to CGHEarth Swasara from Kerala in the audited awards to J W Marriott from Maldives, California to Qatar to Monaco getting the recognition in the readers choice awards category – such was the range.

Sonu Sood was awarded as the Humanitarian of the year for his great contribution during the pandemic. Chef Vikas Khanna received the title of Philanthropist of the Year for the largest food drive during the pandemic. Actor Tamanah Bhatia received the Fashion Trailblazer of the Year, whereas actor Rohit Saraf & Palak Tiwari were recognised as next gen talent. Actor, and UN Ambassador, Dia Mirza was felicitated as the Environmentalist of the Decade, for her wide range of work towards environment conservation and sustainability.

Sharvari Wagh, who looked stunning in the white power ensemble was awarded Rising Star of the Year. The big highlight of the evening was the fabulous wives of Bollywood! Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari Soni, Bhavna Pandey & Seema Kiran Sajdeh were awarded as the Style Squad! While taking the award, Neelam said, “this is definitely very special, since it is our first award for this show.”

Actor Mrunal Thakur was recognised as Sustainable Performer of the Year. Another highlight was the presence of Social Media darlings – Karan Kundrra & Tejassvi Prakash who got awarded as the Power Couple.

The evening was well represented by leaders from various segments of the society and included Chef Shipra Khanna, Tannuj Garg, Pooja Makhija, Yasmin Karachiwala, Anshuka Parwani amongst others.

In her vote of thanks Parineeta Sethi, Editor & Publisher noted on how everyone is now focusing on wellness rather than looking at curative measures. The wellness Industry is here to grow and the nominations and guests attending the evening are an endorsement to the same.
