7. Celebrating Cancer Survivors at the Festival of Hope 2019

At the Russian Centre for Science & Culture, New Delhi, Founder Shalini Vig Wadhwa welcomed the 13th edition of the Festival of Hope Foundation. The who’s-who of Delhi were treated to an evening soiree that included all elements of an unforgettable indulgence – Charity, Fashion, and Glamour. The Festival of Hope is what brings together art, fashion and music to create and spread awareness on preventing and detecting early stages of cancer. The Foundation is not only supported by many eminent personalities, but itself also supports several other NGOs like Spread A Smile Foundation, Rasoi on Wheels, Desire Home Society, and many individual social contributors. Co-hosted by Mr. Fedor Rozovskiy, Director, The Russian Centre of Science & Culture, New Delhi, the grand evening had witnessed cancer survivors and many eminent personalities walking the ramp for the show. Designers Reynu, Nikhita Taandon & Shital Bajaj were the stylists behind their stunning looks.Designers Reynu & Nikhita said, “Its inspiring and a privilege to dress up Cancer rwarriors and we couldn’t have had a better launch for our new season couture line. We associated with Festival of Hope Foundation, as a way to give back to society and salute the spirit of cancer warriors.” Some of the personalities who walked the ramp included Nischint Singh, Sonali Bhasin, Vipi Trehan, Latiika Khaneja, Pooja Gogia, and more. Bahaar Dhawan Rohatgi was the showstopper while special guests were Parineeta Sethi, Eskay Kaushik, Anca Verma and Somya Khurana. Besides the fashion show, a panel discussion on cancer awareness was also held by Nischint Singh wherein honourable doctors Dr. Kanchan Kaur, Dr. Blossom Kochhar, Poonam Seth and Shekhar Narang participated. Performances by Amit Talwar, Spread a smile India & the Russian Ballet school were all equally captivating. As the evening came to a serene close, Shalini Vig Wadhwa added, “I would like to thank all the Leaders of Hope for their contribution and appreciate the gesture of all our partners Fedor Rozovsky, Blossom Kochhar, Shital Bajaj, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Seema Puri & Somya Khurana and the designers Reynu & Nikhita in making this event a successful one.
