Multi-masking is the technique of applying different masks to specific areas of your skin. The purpose of multi-masking is that it allows you to address various skin concerns. Different portions of your skin need different custom-made face masks—you cannot stick to just the one face mask. This is where multi-masking comes in. Multi-masking allows you to customise your skincare routine and maximise the results.
The Benefits of Multi-Masking
This technique not only provides skincare according to the specific concerns, but it also facilitates an even tone complexion. It helps in regulating oily areas, soothing sensitive spots, and nourishing dry patches on the face.
How to Use a Multi-Mask
Anyone can use a multi-mask and it is particularly helpful for people with combination skin types.
STEP 1: Start by selecting your masks. Kayas has 3 different face masks to cater to varying skin concerns.
A) KAYA's CHARCOAL AND TEA TREE MATTIFYING PEEL OFF MASK
This one has been formulated with bamboo charcoal and tea tree oil. The bamboo charcoal helps in removing excess oil, dirt, and grime, and fights acne to leave you with flawless skin. Tea tree oil has great anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties, which helps in fighting acne as well.
B) SALICYLIC ACID CLAY MASK
You should apply this mask on acne prone and oily areas. This mask is a formulation of Salicylic Acid, Colloidal Silver, Ethyl Ascorbic acid and Green Clay. Salicylic acid reduces acne, blackheads, and whiteheads, while also working its magic on existing acne and preventing future breakouts. It also helps to keep the pores breathing. Colloidal Silver has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties, which is a great asset to fight acne. Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is one of the most stable sources of Vitamin C with ultimate antioxidant properties to prevent acne. Additionally, Green Clay is rich in minerals, silicates, and mineral clay from Brazil. It tightens the pores and has oil-absorbing properties.
C) INSTABRIGHT CLAY MASK
You should apply this mask on pigmented and post acne pigmented areas to reduce the blemishes and get a radiant glow. With actives like Alpha Arbutin, Niacinamide, Kakadu Plum extract, and Carrot oil, this mask helps in cell renewal, improving blood circulation, removing oil, dirt, and grime, and reducing pigmentation for an even skin tone.
STEP 2: Apply your masks
On clean skin, apply your masks to the different areas you’re looking to address. Use a generous, even layer of each mask. Leave them on for 30 minutes. When the time is up, wash them off with lukewarm water.
STEP 3: Carry on with your skincare routine by toning, moisturising, and applying sunscreen.
That’s it. You’re all set to give your skincare routine a powerful upgrade with multi-masking. Remember to refrain from multi-masking everyday—once a week is enough to show you the results of this effective trend.
