I got a Hydradermie Facial and My Skin Never Looked This Healthy

A high-tech French facial that hydrates, revitalises, and leaves your skin looking noticeably fresher—here’s what happened when I tried the Guinot Hydradermie treatment.

When I was invited to try out a beauty treatment, I was quite sceptical. I love skincare and follow a strict routine — I double cleanse, I sheet mask, I know my serums, but have I ever experienced a 60-minute facial with high-tech equipment involved? No, that would be new territory for me! So, in the name of journalistic curiosity and glowing skin, I tried the Guinot Hydradermie facial and left with only one question — ‘Why didn’t I do it sooner?’

Guinot, the iconic French skincare brand renowned for its science-backed, salon-grade treatments, has officially made its way to India—and is now available across all Geetanjali salons in Delhi. Known for its luxurious facials and high-performance formulations, Guinot has long been a go-to in European skincare circles, and now it was time for me to experience the same.

First up, I had a consultation with a therapist where she understood my skincare habits; what concerns I had, what products I used, my diet, lifestyle, and daily routine. My biggest complaint? Dull, tired-looking skin and acne scars that had clearly overstayed their welcome for which she recommended the Guniot Hydradermie facial. The expert therapist patiently walked me through the steps of the treatment and explained exactly what to expect.

The treatment began with a deep exfoliation and a milk-based cleanser to lift away the surface-level impurities.

Step 1: Dynamic Ionisation

The next steps were the main part of the procedure and were divided into three phases, the first being Dynamic Ionisation. Using massage rollers that emit an alternating galvanic current, this phase helped infuse active serums deep into my skin, enhancing absorption at a cellular level. These special rollers were used twice, and the second time, it gave a slightly tingly feeling and you could hear it buzzing.

Step 2: Oxygenation by Thermal Effect

Next came the oxygenation phase—arguably the most soothing part of the facial. An oxygenating cream was applied to my skin, designed to stimulate microcirculation and revive dull, tired complexion. This was followed by the application of gentle, controlled heat through a thermal electrode. The warmth wasn’t just comforting—it played a vital role in boosting cellular metabolism, encouraging oxygen flow, and re-energising the skin from within.

Step 3: Relaxing Massage and Serum

The final phase is all about relaxation with a massage to complement the technical benefits of the Hydraderm Cellular Energy machine. This helps to relax the facial features and improve microcirculation. A cooling eye gel was gently applied under my eyes to de-puff and refresh the delicate area, followed by a hydrating mask and a finishing layer of Guinot’s nourishing serum—designed to lock in moisture and leave the skin feeling plump, dewy, and deeply rejuvenated. The facial massage felt heavenly, and I could tell my skin was thanking me for it!

After 60 minutes, when my therapist handed over the mirror to check for results, honestly, I was quite surprised. My skin looked healthier, hydrated and plump. Although the acne scars hadn’t completely vanished, they were slightly deflated. For long-term results, it is advised to take 3-4 sittings in a month–so it is an investment for your skin! Will I try it again? Absolutely. I’d book it again before a big event—or even on days when my skin needs some hydration and pampering.
