As vegan beauty brand Simply Nam launches its two new innovative products - the Everyday Hydrating Biocellulose Three Layer Sheet Mask and the Limited Edition Everyday Essentials Beauty Bucket Bag - industry makeup marvel and founder Namrata Soni shares with GlobalSpa the brand’s vision and much more.

Simply Nam, the 100% vegan and cruelty-free brand, founded by the leading celebrity makeup artist Namrata Soni has unveiled two new and innovative products: the Everyday Hydrating Biocellulose Three Layer Sheet Mask and the Limited Edition Everyday Essentials Beauty Bucket Bag.

BIOCELLULOSE 3 LAYER SHEET MASK

Enriched with ingredients that help in restoring and rejuvenating the skin, such as Aloe Vera, Licorice, Witch Hazel, Sodium Hyaluronate and Peony Root, these masks work on soothing the skin and repairing the skin damage. It is paraben free, cruelty free, alcohol free and sulfate free. Highly recommended by Namrata herself to be used at least 2-3 times a week, you can also use it before applying your makeup, or as a part of your nighttime ritual.

EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS BEAUTY BUCKET BAG

In conversation with Namrata Soni, here’s what we unfurled…

1. Could you take us through your brand philosophy? How did Simply Nam come about?

As a part of the makeup and beauty industry for the past two decades, I have been taught by and worked with the best, and learnt from my 20+ years of experience - what Indian women want and need in their everyday beauty routine.

With Simply Nam, I aim to design and launch products that I have always used or wished were available in the Indian market - very often brands launch products only because they’re popular worldwide but aren’t actually needed here, or even suitable for the Indian climate or skin. For me, what’s important isn’t what’s trending, but what actually would improve, help, and allow Indian women to be and feel their best selves. That’s how Simply Nam came about.

2. How important or close is this initiative to your heart?

Simply Nam is an extension of who I am! It embodies me and my heart!

3. As a 100% vegan beauty brand, are there any challenges you've had to face?

Challenges are a part of the process. As a vegan brand, we are very conscious about what we put into our products. It's not always easy to find the ingredients I want to work with from a professional point of view. As an artist who has been in the industry for 21 years, I have never used vegan products that I can use professionally at work. Quality has always been an issue. At Simply Nam, it's not about just selling something. The core lies in creating products from the heart and being environmentally conscious at the same time.

4. With such an exciting debut lineup, what next can we expect from Simply Nam in the near future?

Everyone is aware of my love for colour cosmetics and I'm soon launching what I love the most. It is my go-to product when I'm getting anyone ready. Without dropping many hints, I've always said that the perfect colour is out there for everyone! Coming soon ;)

5. Lastly, what would you like for people to take away from your brand and its products?

I want my products to enhance the natural beauty of each individual, and not for everyone to look a certain way. I want Simply Nam to help you find your inner beauty. Embrace it, Celebrate it, and Work it!
