4 Steps To Germ-Free Your Skincare Routine

Your beauty products are the closest most frequent thing in touch with your skin every day. Here’s how to not risk the virus with four simple steps.

PRIORITIZE LIP CARE

One of the most overlooked body part, your lips are just as essential a part of your skincare routine as the rest of your face. Countless germs and food particles unseen to the naked eye rest on your lips, so make sure you follow proper lip hygiene. Wash your lips and the area around it before and after meals and keep your lips guarded with a moisturizing lip balm. This would be a good time to take a try at lip masks. The healing effects would just be an added benefit to keeping your lips germ-free and clean.

OMIT SHARING

For once, not sharing is caring. No matter your love for your pals or your family, say no to sharing any type of product with other people. Tick out any sort of grooming product to share: your lipsticks, mascaras, balms, and anything that comes in a jar.

SPRITZ CLEAN YOUR VANITY

Just like you’re sanitizing your hands, you need to give equal importance to your vanity too. Buy an antibacterial spray (Lizol or Himalay are bestsellers) and use it all over your vanity desk and makeup bag, inside and out, and of course over your product packages. Better safe than sorry is the way to go.

WASH. WASH. WASH.

Can you recall the last time you rinsed clean your makeup bag or brushes? If no, this one’s specifically for you. Your beauty go-to’s are constantly under in a bag that makes it feasible for bacteria to come alive. Wash your beauty bag and brushes with dollops of shampoo, cleanser, or even a simple soap. Make sure you let them dry thoroughly before getting back to using. Don’t forget to keep a sanitizer close by and wash hands as much as possible too.
