In this day and age, it’s impossible to narrow down trends to one, two or even three picks. With so much of diversity and acceptance of individual self-expression, we can't be too specific about what's trending. However, we can predict a path that we see trends gravitating towards. Below are a few indicators of what you can expect from the upcoming summer season.

Easy breezy hairstyles

Easy breezy hairdos are expected to gain momentum this summer. Yes, less is definitely more. So, within your different genres of style and self-expression, organic trends will reign supreme.

Healthy hair

Another common focus will be on the health of your hair—the idea will be to achieve healthy and bouncy hair that has movement and shine. Free flowing locks will be back, where you can embrace your natural texture and length, be it straight, wavy, curly, short or long. Keep your hair hydrated and protected with easy at-home treatments like the K18 leave-in mask to maintain the bounce, shine, and health of your hair.

Coloured locks

Hair colour will continue to be popular, although the focus will be on natural earthy tones like sandy beige, rich caramel brown, and fiery copper. For those who are adventurous and like to stand out, a pop of bright summery yellow, pink, emerald are good options. Hair colouring techniques too will move away from classic highlights and towards more organic brush strokes. Say goodbye to Bleach Balayage and teasing highlights—fun global placement of colour will become popular as a colouring technique. And remember to use some kind of protection. I love the K18 Mist and Mask for maximum protection while colouring. This product works on the polypeptide chains during and after your colouring process to protect from and reverse hair damage.

Styling tips

For on-the-go styling, choose easy twists around your face to beat the heat and team it with cool high ponytails. Don't be shy to use accessories like scarves and flowers.
