Free radicals are the charged by products of metabolism which has the ability of damaging cells leading to wrinkle formation. Anti-oxidants are highly needed to stop this free radical damage in body. Green tea, highly pigmented fresh fruits, vegetables, raw turmeric etc are good source of anti-oxidants.
The firmness of skin is maintained by a component known as collagen which is mainly a kind of protein. Insufficient protein intake may hamper the collagen formation leading to the development of patchy and dark skin, wrinkle, and fine lines.
