What is your wellness philosophy?

A holistic way of life, wellness encourages good health in all spheres of existence. Each person’s experience is different, and it involves a dynamic process that evolves as they gain new knowledge. Training the mind to only recognise good attitudes, beliefs, and thoughts is a key component of wellness. The secret to a healthy body and life is, in fact, proper nutrition! Eating fresh food instead of processed garbage will not only give your body the correct amount of energy, but you will also feel so much better because everyone has different eating preferences.

Your success mantra?

People can easily absorb non-verbal communication techniques like art. There are many ways for people to express their emotions through art. Not everyone has the demanding ability of painting. A never-give-up mentality helps you overcome uncertainties and pessimistic thoughts, so you are stronger to face anything. Realizing what you’ve gone through and the challenges you’ve overcome to get where you are will make your accomplishment that much sweeter. Never give up because that is precisely the moment and location when the tide will turn.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Failures serve as a springboard for success. We gain knowledge through the mistakes we make in life. The best teachers, it has been found, are time and experience. We must draw lessons from our mistakes. I have grown from my errors to become the unwavering woman I am today.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Success doesn’t develop gradually. Rome wasn’t built in a day, as the proverb goes. In life, we must exercise patience. Effort rewards off. A “Never Give Up” mentality will help you achieve much. Thus, keep moving and don’t stop until you find what you’re seeking for. If we have faith in our ability, we will. Hence, have confidence in yourself before relying on the assistance or confidence of others.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

I am pleased with the lady I have become since it has been a very difficult journey for me. ‘They tried to bury us, they didn’t realize we were seeds’, goes a well-known saying. And that seed is me.
