Embracing the spirit of an Italian summer, Shangri-La Eros New Delhi’s Italian restaurant, Sorrento, presents an exclusive dining experience featuring fresh and flavourful Italian dishes prepared with a fine assortment of Mozzarella cheeses. Highlighting the familiar yet versatile hero ingredient through unexpected and delectable gastronomical renderings, this thoughtfully curated menu is on offer from 22 April until 1 May 2022.

Ideal for a long weekend brunch or a lip-smacking dinner any day of the week, this special offering combines the indulgent decadence of Italian cuisine and the irreplaceable zing of refreshing ingredients—as the most soft and subtle Mozzarella asserts its distinctive presence in each dish. The hotel’s Executive Chef, Gagandeep Singh Sawhney, and his culinary team have put together a broad Mozzarella cheese range, alongside classic preparations that greet the guests’ palette with the comfort of wholesome flavours as well as pleasant surprises.

The Cheese Bar display includes Burrata, Fior Di Latte, Bocconcini, Scamorza and Treccia—allowing guests to pair their favourite cheese with cold cuts and lettuce, to assemble a customised salad. The cold cuts selection features Prosciutto Di Parma, Salami Milano, In-House Duck Prosciutto and more, while the Lettuce Bar offers Hydroponic Romain, Baby Gem, Wild Arugula, Baby Spinach, Roman Artichoke, Roma Tomato, and a selection of additional fresh leafy greens and vegetables. A fun and engaging affair, the Cheese Bar will be a hit with seasoned diners, children and picky eaters alike!

For the meal itself, the team has created an incredible à la carte menu that includes the traditional Antipasti, followed by fresh flatbreads, and then the most popular iterations of pastas and risotto. Our picks from the meny are the signature delicacies—a mild but rich Asparagus Risotto, a wonderfully textured Baked Eggplant Parmigiana, the zingy Warm Burrata Ravioli, the Sous Vide Chicken Roulade, and a truly delectable Mozzarella Cheesecake. Those who find themselves gravitating towards the standard menu will be impressed by the wood-fired pizzas, which are always a crowd-pleaser.
