1. Ultima Promenade Gstaad

Opening: Winter 2025

The Ultima Promenade in Gstaad will place you right in the middle of elegantly designed suites, expansive terraces, a private cinema, a games room, a cigar lounge, and a fitness centre, complemented by gourmet dining experiences crafted by a Michelin-trained chef in the Swiss Alps. The historic chalet will span four floors, one of which is entirely dedicated to wellbeing and fun. The spa features an indoor swimming pool, sauna, hammam and Jacuzzi, and treatments using products from Augustinus Bader and Seed to Skin. And just in case you forget you're in the Swiss Alps, you’ll find a snow shower for a spot of hot/cold therapy. You can also explore the scenic landscapes through hiking, biking, and mountain excursions. 

Ultima Collection is also coming up with the Ultima Cologny Geneva in Geneva. The ultramodern lakeside retreat will consist of two expansive villas featuring floor-to-ceiling glass windows with uninterrupted views of Lake Geneva. Each villa will span three floors, featuring expansive living areas, internal patios connected to a 14-meter outdoor swimming pool, and an array of luxury amenities, including a wellness floor with a hammam, sauna, treatment room, and fitness center.

2. Meliá Pattaya, Bangkok

Opening: Q1 2025

Wake up each morning to the serenity of the Gulf of Thailand as your backdrop at the Meliá Pattaya Hotel. The new property, inspired by Pattaya’s attractions and melting pot history and culture and an eclectic dining landscape, will feature 234 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites, a rooftop restaurant, an executive lounge, the Kidsdom club and a stylish beach club fronting Pattaya Beach. The hotel’s wellness-focused offerings include the signature YHI Spa, a state-of-the-art gym, and a vast swimming pool with an adjacent bar.

3. ME Lisbon

Opening: Early 2025

Opening in the heart of the historic Portuguese capital, ME Lisbon—the 213-key property will showcase the brand’s signature avant-garde design and cultural programming, as well as world-class gastronomic concepts, a Radio Rooftop Bar with panoramic views, Fismuler, an award-winning restaurant from the La Ancha Family Group making its debut outside of Spain, and Attiko, a rooftop restaurant launching for the first time in Europe. Further development plans for ME by Meliá include Spain—with ME Malaga opening in Q1 2025 and ME Marbella following in Q2 2025—as well as Greece, Albania, and China. The brand will also bolster its presence in Mexico, with ME Guadalajara and ME Sayulita.

4. Capella Kyoto

 

Opening: Q4 2025

Nestled in Kyoto's historic Miyagawa-ch? district, Capella Kyoto is an intimate 89-key sanctuary that celebrates the cultural heritage of the Kenninji Temple neighbourhood, embodying Zen Buddhism, wabi-sabi elegance, and classic Japanese elements like tatami mats and serene Zen gardens. An inner bamboo courtyard, seamlessly connected to the signature Capella Living Room, creates a tranquil flow between public and private spaces. Guests can indulge in Carte blanche, an omakase-style dining experience or a modern brasserie and patisserie. The Auriga Spa and the grand Capella Ballroom complete this exquisite retreat. Furthermore, the expansion plans for Capella include properties in Taipei (March), Macau (Q2), and a Patina property in Osaka (April), each demonstrating how exceptional design serves as a gateway to cultural authenticity.
