From the instant we landed at Malé International Airport, the short, scenic speedboat ride to Lobigili set the tone for an enchanting getaway. The island welcomed us with its serene charm and breathtaking beauty. Our overwater villa, perched above crystal-clear waters, became our haven. I still remember the thrill of stepping onto our private deck each morning, the ocean stretching endlessly before us. Soaking in the open-air bathtub with my partner, enveloped by the turquoise waters, felt like a dream we never wanted to end.

We snorkelled among vibrant coral reefs, marvelled at the marine life during our scuba dives, and enjoyed sunset fishing excursions. Kayaking across calm waters with my partner by my side is a memory I will cherish forever. And when we sought pure relaxation, the ELE|NA Ayur Spa provided serene treatments inspired by nature, leaving us rejuvenated and blissfully at peace. Evenings were magical. Swing Bar, with its cosy hammocks and live music, became our favourite spot to sip sunset cocktails and revel in the Maldivian twilight.

Every meal at OBLU SELECT Lobigili was an experience, but three stood out vividly. The under-ocean restaurant, Only BLU, was an absolute highlight. Dining beneath the ocean, surrounded by marine life, while savouring a gourmet menu paired with fine wines felt surreal. Gadiya 17, the beachside food truck, served delicious grilled meats and seafood in a relaxed setting, perfect for laid-back afternoons. The private beach dinner arranged for our anniversary, under a canopy of stars with waves gently lapping at our feet, was the epitome of romance.
