The Perfect Way to Mismatch this Wedding Season 2020

The official colour of 2020 is Classic Blue and everyone is super excited. Be it cobalt or royal blue, it’s going to be one classy year! People always go for White, Black or Grey for something casual, but not everyone thinks of Blue as the first option. Fashion doesn’t only concentrate on one colour, but it is also about playing with different colours, designs and fabrics. People find blue as a dull colour but mixing it up with a few bright shades never hurt anyone. Indians go all out when it comes to weddings. Picking out the perfect outfit is a long and hard process. Most brides go for a traditional colour like red but the new-gen brides are going through with the new and trendy colours for their weddings and other ceremonies. 2019 was the year of pastels and bright colours, from Anushka Sharma to Neha Dhupia, everyone followed the A-list celebs in the new bridal outfit trends. With days and days of rituals, there’s a lot to think and lots of ideas to think through. Here are some tips the bride can opt for: Twinning with the groom: Twinning has been a trend since a very long time and there’s no way it can ever go wrong. This option will be better for the Sangeet ceremony where the evening light will brighten up the royal blue colour. A fusion low back artificial gemstone studded blouse and light embroidery lehenga with a ruffled dupatta for the bride while the groom makes a splash in a powder blue satin silk asymmetric Indo-western sherwani and dhoti.

  1. Statement Organza fusion wears: Fusion outfits have been gaining traction since a while now and brides are really into it. Ever since Zara came out with their organza collection, it is booming everywhere. Be it western or traditional wear, from polka dots to solids, the fabric is trending in all parts. Solid organza tie-up blouse with heavy lehengas and a pearl choker will make for a perfect statement piece for wedding cocktail parties.
  1. Choli blouse for a saree: This brilliant trend is one that most brides are opting for their engagements or sangeet. A heavy embroidery saree can substitute for your blouse along with a light saree. Opt for a royal blue blouse and pair it up with a light yellow saree and Voila!
  1. Drape saree with belt: Newest trend not only for the brides but even for the bridesmaids: drape sarees. Mixing a good embroidered blouse with old raw silk or satin silk saree for an evening reception look will get along perfectly with a gold belt. Powder blue is an amazing choice for a sundowner event and it always gives a very subtle look.
